This year for our vacation we decided to go to San Antonio. We have had a lot of fun despite a lot of heat. We left on Thursday around lunch time and got here around 5:30. We checked into our hotel, went out and got some dinner and then turned in for the night so that we would be well rested for out trip to Sea World on Friday.
Friday morning we got up, ate breakfast and off we went to see the sea. We saw the Shamu show and then several other things before we decided to go to the water park for a while to cool off. The kids loved the wave pool, especially daredevil Jake who wanted to go deeper and deeper and loved it when the waves came on!
On Saturday we thought that it may be crowded at Sea World so we decided to go downtown to see the Alamo. Well, I think that everyone that didn't go to Sea World went to the Alamo because it was crazy! The line was so long that we didn't go inside, instead we walked around the outside some and then got some lunch and went back to the hotel to rest a little and Jake ended up taking a 5 hour nap so we didn't do anything else.
Today we got up and went to Sea World again. We saw the sea lion show, the dolphin show and the 4D pirate movie with water effects. I think this was tied for Tommy's favorite thing at Sea World with the Electric Eel roller coaster. After this we went came back to the hotel to clean up and then went out to a late lunch/early dinner.
After we ate we drove out to see my Aunt Jan. Not only did we see my Aunt Jan and Uncle Ed. but we also saw my cousin Kerry and my cousin Matt, his wife and their daughter Lisa. The kids were shy for about 2 minutes and then the played like they had know each other for years.
Tomorrow we check out and head home. We are going to try to go to the Alamo again in hope that it's not so crowded on a work day morning, and we can go inside and take some more pictures outside without all the crowd.
