Five Tiedes

Thursday

July 4th

On the 4th we went (as we do every year) to the Plano Independence Day Parade. It is so much fun! It is such a small town feel, in the middle of a pretty big town. The kids look forward to going because they give out candy and all kinds of goodies. We saved spots for our friends the Controveros Family like we did last year. We ended up having a very nice morning. It wasn't too hot and it didn't rain. The parade lasted a little over an hour and afterward we went home, got cleaned up and everyone took a nap since we didn't get home until after midnight the night before.

For dinner we went over to the Tiede's house where we enjoyed a great meal. Jake played with the cars (of course) and got so attached to two of them that he didn't want to let them go to eat. He did let them go, but they had to be on the plate so that he could get them quick if he needed to. Funny kid!

When we got home the kids and I waited a little bit and then went back out and found a spot to park on Spring Creek so that we could watch the City of Plano fireworks. They had a pretty good show, the kids enjoyed it!
