Sophie had two games this weekend. On Saturday she played at 9:30am against the Daisy's. It was a hot morning and all the girls were very sweaty! Sophie got two hits and made it to first with both. The first hit was very short and the pitcher ran up to get the ball and got the third out at home so she didn't go any further. The second hit was an RBI which made 5 for the inning so she didn't go any further.
On Sunday Tommy and Sophie both had games that started at 1:00. Bill took Sophie to her game (since he is the coach) and the report back was that she did very well against the Lady Bugs.
Tommy's team played the other Tigers and they led the game most of the game 2 to 0. It was the bottom of the 2nd that they scored 3 and then we were unable to score again. The final score was 6 to 2. Tommy was up to bat twice and got 2 hits. The first he made it to 2nd and when the coach told him to steal 3rd the catcher was too quick and they got him out. Then the 2nd hit he made it to 2nd and the next batter stuck out which ended the inning.
A very exciting thing for Tommy is that Caleb and his dad, Kenton, and two of his brothers came to see part of Tommy's game. That was very nice!
