Monday Night Baseball

Last night was our first playoff game. We led the game up until the last inning and because of some fielding errors we let them take the lead by one run. Tommy was first up to bat in the bottom of the last inning... the pitcher threw the ball and it was a strike, you could see the frustration on his face. The next two pitches were balls, and then clink (they use aluminum bats in little league) he got a hit and was off to first and was safe! Now he is the tieing run and Cameron comes up to bat, a pitch, a ball, but Tommy steals second. Another pitch, another ball and Tommy steals third! Then clink, a hit, but coach held Tommy back because it looks foul. It's good, but Tommy stays on third and Cameron, the winning run, is on first. The next batter up struck out. Next Reiley is up to bat, first pitch a ball and Cameron steals second, next pictch a hit, it is high and long. Tommy runs in to tie the game and Cameron to third, when the ball is over thrown to second to try to get Reiley out Cameron is sent home and we WON the game!

The game didn't start until 7:45 last night and we weren't done until after 9:00, but I didn't see any yawns, everyone was so excited! Here is a picture of Tommy and Reiley after the game.
