The time has finally arrived, Jake can hear! He did great during his appointment! He was very patient as the processors were put on and the computer measured his "levels". When the devices were turned on we did not see a big reactions which is the right reaction. If it is too loud and we get a big reaction then he may not want to wear them.
In the afternoon after we got home and after he took a nap, he wore his "new ears" for a long time before he decided to take them off and throw them across the room. This is not an unusal response either, he is not used to having the equipment on his head and so it is not comfortable yet. We look forward to our first speech therapy session on Monday.
