On Thursday morning we got up and pack up the car, then headed to Rocky Mountain National Park. There was quite a bit of cloud cover so about half of the drive up into the mountains was quite an adventure. Once we got above the clouds though, it was breath taking.
The kids enjoyed the cooler weather and the animals we spotted, including a few marmots and some elk.
We spent most of our day up in the mountains, ate lunch at the top of Trail Ridge Road, which crests at 12,183 feet, and stood on the Continental Divide.
