Playoff Game for Tommy

Today at 10:00 we had our playoff game against the other Tigers. We did very well, especially in the 3rd inning. Tommy came up to bat with one out and got a great hit, it went right through a hole and rolled back past the person in left field so he made it to first with no problem. His hit allowed another player to get a run. He stole second with a slide. After Tommy, Logan came up to bat and got a great hit, another player got a run, so we had players on 1st and 3rd. Then unfortunately the next two up to bat were out, but it was such a boost to everyone to see these two great hits and two runs. The final score was 7-3 and we lost, but the boys really played hard and ended up being very happy with their hard work. We are supposed to play two more games (make up games) after the playoff games are over, these will be more for practice than anything else since the champions will already be determined. Tommy is looking forward to another season this fall. He will be moving up to the 9 age group, so he will play on a different team. In the end, this was not a winning season for Tommy's team, and that was discouraging for him, but he did have the opportunity to learn almost every position by playing them this season, and he has ended the season on a good note with his great hit today.
