Our Weekend Update

Both Tommy and Sophie's games were rained out yesterday and it turns out that, that is a good thing. Sophie went to bed on Friday night saying that she did not feel good and by midnight she woke up with a fever. On Saturday morning she woke up again with a fever and saying that her head and throat hurt, so we went to the Pediatrician (thank goodness for Saturday sick hours) and she now has strep, it just seems to keep getting passed around, first Jake, then Bill and now Sophie. I hope it stops there, I am cleaning like mad to make sure that we are sanitizing everything and kill all those strep germs!

We also got news on Friday evening from the Plano Baseball people that someone on the team we played on Wednesday night has whooping cough, a very contagious yucky sickness. Tommy would have had the most contact because he touched the ball that the other kid touched and he shook hands with everyone on the team. So when we were at the doctor Saturday morning I asked about it and was assured that all three kids should be fine, they are well within their immunization limits. I also have recently had a tetanus shot and should be fine too, but Bill has not, so he has started an antibiotic to try to kill anything that could be growing there.

So, this weekend we are again quarantined at home so that we can get better and try not to pass along any of these fun little bugs.
